Katie, Thank you for your letter. I'm tired of the complaints about the Rose Street design. Where 2nd Street is a three-lane road, it seems to work very well -- the Rose Streetvdesign will too.

I like the Sandy Hook Promise ( check it out at www.sandyhookpromise.org/). I hope that others will agree that we (and members of Congress) can have a discussion and debate about gun violence, background checks, high capacity ammunition clips, and assault-style rifles. As a person who lost a friend to a Tacoma shooting by a mentally distributed stalker on the PLU campus on May 17, 2001, I thank you for your letter.

Please give the school board president some respect. The board voted in a public meeting to return excess funds. They've gone on public record to return excess funds.
