I'm optimistic that we'll first invest in the sciences and other curriculum areas and later worry about the soft components such as character building. Please vote yes on the science building.
"Sadly, it appears that Mr. Filan will find a way to passionately complain about any district project, even if it is both similar to and cheaper than what he suggested they do just one year ago."
It appears that years ago, the school board made Mr. Filan furious. Several superintendents later and with new members on the school board and he still won't let it go so he continues to hold children hostage. And the Union-Bulletin prints EVERY letter -- logical or not.
CMR would do well to skip the scripted talking points and help bring a CR vote to the House floor.
You must respond with a letter to the editor! Thanks for looking into that.
Fatherof5, thank you. I'm again disappointed that the U-B prints each and every letter. Does the editor edit?
Thank you for your letter. I'm tired of the complaints about the Rose Street design. Where 2nd Street is a three-lane road, it seems to work very well -- the Rose Streetvdesign will too.
I can see where this might lead to confusion about the role of Senators Murray and Cantwell; but I believe that this article deals with the House and Senate debate in Olympia involving Senator Hewitt, Representative Walsh, and Representative Nealey.
I've heard this argument before about prosecuting those who fail a background check. Can you point me to a website that explains what a background check is? Why would failing a background check warrant an arrest? http://gunguy.tempdomainname.com/nicsfail.htm
I like the Sandy Hook Promise ( check it out at www.sandyhookpromise.org/). I hope that others will agree that we (and members of Congress) can have a discussion and debate about gun violence, background checks, high capacity ammunition clips, and assault-style rifles. As a person who lost a friend to a Tacoma shooting by a mentally distributed stalker on the PLU campus on May 17, 2001, I thank you for your letter.
