This author possibly isn't aware that his favorite Fox TV news shows come from the same company as Fox 'News'. Many of which are just as violent and graphic as is described, above.
But I get it: Fox 'News' has never aired a program in support of sensible gun ownership laws, so they're not in the same category.
In conformance with their peer group, the words are taken out of context and meaning. Opinions formed based on the hysterical insanity blerching forth from the extremism found on the right-wing-talk-radio of today.
The writer of the original commentary never once said "All Republicans".
It was focused on a very specific demographic - which it would appear the author of this missive and his followers are members of, as they took offence so quickly and registered their righteous indignation.

If it doesn't involve "Get Off My Lawn", the regulars here don't have anything original to offer. Nice try, "Igor", but your lack of originality gets you an 'F''.
Asking the regular crowd of selfish gadflys and know-nothing naysayers to offer credible evidence for any of their sad arguments? You've got a long wait ahead of you..
Well, at least your consistent with the inability to have an original thought.
Gee, the "Daily Caller" as a reliable source of unbiased news. Nice! Completely out of context, this is known - to those who didn't flunk debate - as a "false equivalent ".
So, how about an accounting of the billions wasted during the little "lets shut down the gubmint" fiasco?
Or the billions wasted in an un-needed weapons system? No?
Perhaps an honest accounting of two UNFUNDED WARS. Trillions? Maybe two.
A majority is a majority, regardless of party affiliation. And you don't think the years of obstructionism -versus actually legislating productive solutions - hasn't caused the system to have a difficult launch?
I personally am getting a GREAT deal, and no longer deal with a pre-existing condition that previously kept me from obtaining coverage. Thanks for asking.
The Speaker of the House seems to have gotten a good deal, too. Look! No more tears: http://www.salon.com/2013/11/22/whoops_obamacare_turns_out_to_be_great_deal_for_boehner/
