Barracuda, As you state you are not an expert on the windmills. I fully understand. Most of the windmills produce less than 3 megawatts at best when the wind is blowing. Most of the Hydropower turbines that I know of are 95-105 megawatts year round. I would think that the math would be easy. I realize that the Hydropower dams on the Snake only have 6 of these units you should look at the larger dams that produce far for power. For instance Grand Coulee ( the largest power producer in the U.S) or the second largest which is owned by the Corps that operates 17 of the 95 megawatt units and 10 of the larger 105 megawatts units just downstream. If that is not a major difference you are living in a dream world.
You people are truly what the city of Walla Walla should be proud. You have nothing but bickering to comment on. I have read this thread a couple of times... it is no wonder that you people elect John Turner as Sheriff and want to support a city council that can't prioritize and make the required meetings, but also have such small minds that you have a outside company come in and paint over a mural, however you still support the worthless crap they call " ART " on some Main Street corners. It just proves that this city must have some rich very well educated idiots.
Hopefully, scottyr you are a business owner in the downtown historic district that will lose a significant amount of money. And then you can cry on your inner-self about your loss of income. I will continue to do everything possible to promote the boycott of the businesses in that area.
I used to spend a considerable amount of money in the the downtown area. Now I would rather drive to the Tri-cities or even College Place. I will never spend another cent in any of those businesses. Especially a business like Falkenberg's that is just across the street. I am sure they had something to do with this but I would think that their clock doesn't fit in since it doesn't match the light posts. Maybe we should remove it in the misddle of the night.
I sure hope that Bob Castiff finds some of the most god awful ugly colors to paint the front of the building. I think it would be appropriate to paint the city of Walla Walla logo on the front and have some guy pissing on it.... The leadership here in Walla Walla has really got as screwed up and ignorant as all of the petty childish bickering we read about everyday with the U.S Senate and our Congressional clown show.
True but a majority of the crime listed is from the city and the Sheriff is the one asking for more money...Hmmmmmm
It appears once again, just like in the Sheriff's case the people of Walla Walla have voted for the worst candidate that is on the ballot. I would of thought that they would have learned from their mistakes. Scott Wolfram will only prove that he has no "Honor" except for when he is on the bench.. And that is only because everyone has to call him that. If I ever had to deal with him I would make m before sure and affadavit him so he couldn't hear the case. If not.... well I guess you will regret your decision.
