Four years ago I made that my goal - to work with whomever was elected. And I am glad I did because I learned to like and respect someone that I did not think I would. I have been very disappointed in a group that seemed to make the decision after the last election that their candidate did not win and so they would not work with the new Sheriff no matter what. My husband has often said that if you don't like someone, that is when you really need to work at being fair. Let's hope that however this race turns out, the losing side will make it their goal to work hard to be fair, listen well and do what is best for the county - personalities aside.
My first thought when I saw this headline was "Seriously? Wow, adults can't sit down with each other, agree to disagree, talk it over, work together and figure out how to keep something that has been so positive for our community going. No wonder we have wars". I am saddened to see this type of thing happening in our city.
Thanks for the reference mentioning the Traffic Safety Task Force. We currently have a 4-hr. child passenger safety training schedules for Tuesday, December 4 beginning at 9am. Those interested may register by calling 524-2936.
Let's get together Walla Walla and walk for this great cause! Only 22 more registrations need to make 100!
