Put on your big girl pants and buy a new rose bush. Suing over something like that is petty. If you know the kid, go to their parents, get the name of the pusher and go to that boy's parents and have him apologize. Or have them make the kid help you plant the replacement bush. Since you are the older person why not be the bigger person too?
Bummer that I would be an outlier. My mom gave birth to me naturally in her own bed and breastfed me. My parents took me camping when I was 2 months old. I would lay on a blanket in the yard as a baby cause I liked it better outdoors and would cry if you left me indoors. My mom had me up in front of her on a horse as soon as I had enough muscle control to sit up. The cat would lay on me in my crib and used the sandbox as it's litter box. But, i was so sick for most of my growing years and hypersensitive to everything. I spent my summers as one huge scab thanks to mosquitoes, poison ivy and chiggers. My first trip to a hospital was due to an allergic reaction. Except for the large family (I only had one sibling) I really shouldn't be the severe allergy sufferer that I and would fit the profile of a non-allergy sufferer perfectly. Maybe it's cause my parents were heavy smokers?
Tell your kid not to worry....people will still eat with you, but we'll be sure to "talk about [you] behind [your] back" as your article foretells. Cause isn't that what people with table manners do? Hmmm...maybe someone needs lessons in basic manners regarding communication and gossip.
“I probably did not read the bill as well as I should have”
Seriously? you co-sponsor a bill and you didn't bother to read it carefully? Awesome work ethic there. Especially when you are crafting legislation to help roll back people's civil liberties. If people were still allowed to refuse service to people based on gender or race the US would still be a backward segregated place run by white good ole' boys.
I totally agree that the draft system is a waste of money. It is also poses an ethical question that has loomed large since Vietnam: if in a time of war you have to draft people (force them) to join the military as combatants, perhaps the citizens of our country do not believe that our country should be a participant in that conflict. Lets hope that Selective Service gets cut and that it is one more small step toward an efficient government.
