kurtfr 2 months ago on Letter - Is Obama holding back in war with ISIS?

If only there had been an investigation by a Republican led committee, maybe there could have been some answers. Maybe that committee could then write a report. Maybe a short report with say 37 pages. And maybe that report could include an easy to read summary on page 2 and 3.

Perhaps it could even look something like this:

Here's the two released videos of the shootings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9FtNOV6Qhk and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z8qNUWekWE. What was menacing about the people shot and how were the police able to determine they were menacing within seconds?

I'm a little confused by the shooting in Cleveland where the boy had a toy gun and another shooting in Ohio where a 22 year old was shot inside Walmart while holding a BB gun. Ohio is an open carry state. In an open carry state, shouldn't one be free to be in the public with a BB gun or a toy gun or are those exempt from open carry laws?

I read the article from the NY Times you tried to link to. Here's the actual article and not an opinion piece about it. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/10/14/world/middleeast/us-casualties-of-iraq-chemical-weapons.html?_r=0

  1. So you are saying we went to war in 2003 for weapons built in the 1980's and left abandoned in 1991? I don't remember that fact coming out in the lead up to March 2003.

  2. If these stockpiles were the reason, why didn't the architects of the war splash it all over tv, radio and print?

According to Followthemoney.org for the 2012 election, the Washington Education Association gave $5,700. The Washington Federation of State Employees gave $3,600. The Washington State Federation of Teachers gave $1,100. That's a total of $10,400 or if rounded up, $900,000.

kurtfr 9 months, 2 weeks ago on Letter - Enough already with ‘climate change’ articles

Scientific opinion on climate change is similar to the question on if smoking causes cancer. I for one don't believe cigarettes cause cancer and don't believe the nicotine is addictive. While the scientific opinion is overwhelming that tobacco causes cancer and is addictive, these videos clearly show that the science is unsettled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6B1q22R438 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txYH8RCC-Qk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC4f_yfuR34.
