Regarding Mr. Barrow's comments "No annexaction will ever please 100 percent of everyone in it. We don't create independent little spots on the map for our own personel place." That is a strange thing for him to say, because Barbara Wattley"s subdivision located on Abbott Rd was annexed into the city, while all the other houses on the same side of the street are still county. Then you go on up Abbott to
Sturm and there are several houses there that were annexed after they were built, but none of the other older homes are annexed. So I just don't understand his statement. If the other land owners that are not in the subdivisions, don't want to be annexed, then let them be.

I'm commenting on the paragraph "But the proposed area includes 41 properties that have no city utilities and could possible face a $32.50 monthly failure-to-connect penalty if their properties are within 300 ft of a city sewer line." This penalty was repealed by the city in November 2013.
I don't see what the problem is. I went into the program this morning and was able to pull up what I needed just like before. I never did use a "search by name". (Didn't know there was a way to do that.) This is a very helpful tool and I am so glad that we can still use it.
