The Teachers Union spent almost $900,000 on the Inslee campaign . . . . . . . .

Is this a payback?

It's nice to see you back fatherof5 (I think). Have you been global traveling on your summer hiatus? :)

That's a nice try with the links but neither scores on the funding for the Veterans additions at JWainwright VA. If I recollect the majority of legislators (Federal and State) were fighting for the funding on this addition. Most elected officials are in favor of improving Veterans benefits and this particular funding Sen Murray was on the appropriations committee giving her the lime light that should have shown more faces for the support of this funding.

This is the same as the school district with some of the schools having maintenance required and taken care of for years. What happened to WAHI - where has all the maintenance money gone - maybe the salaries need to be reviewed? Maybe that's not all that needs to be reviewed? The school district has the levy to offset some of there educational expenses . . . . . . . .

It seems the writer wants to draw down on the military eliminating a safe existence in America but is satisfied to allow open borders and amnesty for millions of illegals? The cost to house, clothe and provide medical insurance for these illegals is going to cost more than the safety of our country.

In your reference to the lives lost to Katrina. If the Mayor and the Governor had gotten the buses moving there would have been minimal lives lost and we wouldn't even be talking about it other than it was a ferocious tropical storm.

This man should be at the meetings with the President instead of the shyster Al Sharpton. With exception this President doesn't want to unite.

That's great Mr Davison - very serious but the last line gave me the best belly laugh since the cold air hit.

I searched the Seattle Times (which did not indicate the page) but the story was vague but if you read the comments the woman should not have shot him and was not protecting the family because he was drunk and lost. It's hard to believe that these that can not envision the protection of family is inbred and generated more from fear than anything.
