namvet60 1 week, 2 days ago on Letter - Turner’s attitude, inaction on burglary unacceptable

If I had been burglarized of $30,000 dollars of personal effects I believe I would have a fair recollection of what had transpired in conversations especially with the law enforcement. When addressing a situation as such you want as many facts on the books as possible to catch the thieves.

How about the multiple car thefts that have not been finalized and the only auto theft that was concluded was when it was the sheriff's auto that was stolen? Not a very good average . . . . . . . .

Another tad bit of information . . . . . . . . .

It seems every issue has its ups and downs but to conclude that climate change is human caused is very far fetched to an exact conclusion.

Leave it to Seattle to show the true ignorance of electing officials that should not be allowed on the ballot. Trying to change history is ridiculous let alone being of sound mind and body. I wouldn't visit Seattle for just that reason.

I guess a good way to get rid of your health and retirement benefits? Give the money to a lawyer - they have to eat to . . . . . . . . . .

namvet60 2 weeks, 1 day ago on Letter - Port shouldn’t compete with downtown merchants

Very good interview. I just have a couple of ideas (maybe nitpicking) but Mr Frederickson states that the Port is an economic driven organization. Putting a parking lot in downtown does not constitute a revenue producing tax paying entity. Also when the Port sells a property or business the taxes derived from that sale or release delivers 100% to the State and only 40% return to the County. Hardly a solid return for the taxpayers footing the bill for the Port. I just have a lot of questions in this area and when he states the Port is at the hands of the people seems a little ambiguous when everyone around the 3 port commissioners answer to only those 3 without any outside guidance or control. Sometimes they have the same mindset of the City Council - They think they know best.

So many questions and so little time . . . . . . .Great interview though!

Should be the exact thoughts of many taxpayers and business owners - using taxpayer money to double up on paying taxes, property taxes and destroying the current businesses.

Stats in short: The United States ranks 3rd in Murders throughout the World.

But if you take out Chicago , Detroit , Washington DC and New Orleans , the United States is 4th from the Bottom for Murders. These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States . All 4 are also controlled by Democrats.

It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data ....... RIGHT .. RIGHT ?

I see the priority to apprehend the thief that stole the Sheriff's vehicle :) but the apprehension rate on the rest of vehicles is not what I would call good police work.
