This "sicko" that you describe happens to be my son. I don't think of him in that way. I believe I know a lot more about him and the situation than "mytwocents" knows. I won't talk about the case, but I will say that he has a lot of remorse over what happened to Sophia. I love my granddaughter, and I know that Alan has a great deal of love for her, as well. If he could "undo" what happened he would. I have learned over the years that you cannot believe everything you read in the newspaper. The reporting on this case has been full of half truths and unproven allegations. I think it is unfair that my son is being "tried" in the court of public opinion before he has the opportunity to defend himself in a court of law.
