Really? Alienating idiots who leave their car unattended with the keys in it? What a loss! These people should expect it.
There are procedures in place to keep these assaults from happening. The counties and state are proactive in their approaches, but they can't babysit these offenders 24 hours a day. Many of these people are in jail and prison because they are predators and enjoy the power and degradation these acts provide. They are there for a reason. The bottom line is, if you don't want these things to happen, don't do the things that get you there. By the way, the rapist is a predator too. He didn't seem to give a rats ass about his victims. Really. get a new concept. Everytime someone disagrees with the NRA, some one comes up with the stupid "well, maybe, we should outlaw (knives, hammers, pencil sharpeners, milk jugs, c-clamps, anvils) comment. get some imagination. come up with something new.

They'll offer a quick and dirty plea agreement if it means a new trial. The Keystone Prosecutors are deathly allergic to courtrooms and will probably will plead it down to disturbing the peace. Meanwhile a murderer will walk on a silly technicality that is laughably stupid.
Yeah. He's moving to a new place to start a new gang set. Another softball plea deal from the Walla Walla Keystone Prosecuters. (Applause here).
Another softball plea from the Walla Walla Keystone Prosecutors! To paraphrase the immortal Terminator "He'll be Back!"
